Rushmoor Rotary raises about £4500 at The Swan
Thanks to Rotarian Lawrence Alexander, proprietor of The Swan, just under £4500 was raised by the club during the week of the Farnborough 2010 International Airshow.
While the money will support a number of projects locally and in the UK a significant donation went to Shelterbox, a Rotary Global Project for disaster relief based in the UK. Learn more about Shelterbox. |

Farnborough Donkey Derby 2011 was a great success with lots of money raised by the charity stall holders. An estimated 10,000 people had a very enjoyable afternoon out.
Thanks to everyone who came and made this such an enjoyable and successful day!

Local students win prizes for their photographs of Farnborough Abbey in the Rushmoor Rotary/ Farnborough Abbey competition 2009.
Salina Rai and Joe Strudwick with blow ups of their winning photos, along with Sarah Kinglsey of Eclipse Creative (who provided the mounted blow ups) and Father Cuthbert, the Abbot of St Michael's Abbey.

Christmas Float Charity Collection
Despite the bad weather meaning we had to cancel a number of the evening collections we are delighted that we managed to collect just over £5000 thanks to the generosity of the residents in the areas we were able to visit plus the collections at B&Q and Morrisons.

Kids Out 2010 & 2011
Rushmoor Club along with 9 other local Rotary Clubs entertained over 650 local school children as part of the national Kids Out programme in June at the Army Rugby Stadium in Aldershot
